JMJ Financial Group is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Mortgage Loan Originator to join our thriving team. In this role, you will be instrumental in guiding clients through the mortgage process, from initial consultation to loan closing. Your expertise will help clients secure financing that fits their needs while ensuring compliance with all regulations.
About the Role:
Since we first opened our doors in March of 1992, we have been changing people’s perspectives on the loan process...one client at a time. JMJ is a privately held direct mortgage lender led by our founders who also happen to be (loan originators). We value and understand the importance of each loan and will treat you with fairness and respect. As a full-service, customer-centric, equity mortgage lender we have over 300 private lenders and an approved FHA, VA and Conventional Direct Lender.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients to understand their financial goals and assess their mortgage needs.
- Educate clients on different mortgage products, interest rates, and potential risks.
- Loan Application Processing:
- Assist clients in completing mortgage applications and gathering necessary documentation.
- Review financial documents for accuracy and completeness to facilitate underwriting.
- Stay current with mortgage industry trends, product offerings, and regulatory changes.
- Provide clients with tailored solutions based on their financial profiles.
- Maintain open lines of communication with clients, keeping them informed throughout the loan process.
- Coordinate with underwriters and loan processors to ensure timely loan approvals.
- Build and nurture relationships with real estate agents, financial advisors, and community organizations.
- Participate in local events and workshops to promote mortgage services and generate leads.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding mortgage lending.
- Conduct thorough due diligence to mitigate risks associated with loan approvals.
- Set personal sales targets and work to achieve or exceed them consistently.
- Track sales activities, loan pipeline, and client interactions using CRM software.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage origination.
- Exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Active NMLS license is required.
